Weld River Ring
Born of current and patience.
This ring carries the story of the Weld River in North East Tasmania — the very place each sapphire in this piece was hand-fossicked from cold running water and gravel beds. Found rough, unassuming, river-worn… and later faceted to reveal the quiet fire hidden within.
Eleven Tasmanian sapphires arc across the face in a wavy, river-like formation, grain set into a ribbon of 24ct yellow gold. The gold flows through a band of recycled sterling silver like sunlight cutting across moving water.
The exterior is textured — reminiscent of stone and riverbank — while the interior is polished smooth, made to be worn comfortably every day.
A small landscape for your hand.
A river, held still.
