This is a one off ring made using the sand casting technique. The faceted sapphires were placed inside the sand mould and liquid sterling silver was poured into the mould wrapping around the stone and holding it securely in place. These 6 sapphires were placed in the mould as the silver was poured in. The metal interacting and encapsulates the stone in a new way every time.
