Made originally from Angel Hair Vine and cast into solid sterling silver. This ring features one Swiss blue topaz in the centre of an eye shaped design. With the option of blackening to accentuate the wood grain texture.

This piece was made for Walk For Wiggly Eyes 2024. Mike from Brisbane, Australia will walk the full Croatian Long Distance Trail (CLDT) to raise money to cure nystagmus. He is raising money for two charities, Gift of Sight, Nystagmus Network. I will be donating $50 for each piece sold, splitting the donations evenly between the two charities.

What is Nystagmus?

NYSTAGMUS IS A COMPLEX VISUAL IMPAIRMENT, CHARACTERISED BY INVOLUNTARY EYE MOVEMENTS, AFFECTING FOCUS AND DEPTH PERCEPTION. THE EYES APPEAR TO WOBBLE OR FLICKER FROM SIDE TO SIDE OR UP AND DOWN. NYSTAGMUS IS CAUSED BY ABNORMAL FUNCTIONING OF THE PART OF THE BRAIN WHICH REGULATES EYE MOVEMENT AND POSITIONING.
